| The 6th Annual
Cambridge Enterprise Conference (CEC6)
brought together entrepreneurs, investors, corporate
venturers, academics, professionals and policy makers from 22-24
March, to contribute to and learn from the latest thinking on the
vital topic of enterprise. |
Building on the premise
that modern economies need enterprise and entrepreneurship to be pursued
effectively and innovative companies need to be supported and encouraged,
CEC6 created a forum for the development of technology and sustained
investor and Government interest in the wealth-creating power of these
companies by enabling up and coming technology and knowledge-based
businesses to gain early exposure to possible investors and useful allies.
Julie Meyer, Ariadne
Capital CEO, joined a panel that included Leonard Brody, CEO
Ipreo,
Peter Denyer, Founder, The Vision Group and Christopher Ahlberg, CEO
Spotfire to discuss start-up lessons learnt
in a session entitled THE HARD ROAD TO
SUCCESS – DISCUSSIONS WITH TECHNOLOGY CEOs, where
conference participants could benefit from the
experiences of technology CEOs. The consistent message of the panel was
perseverance through difficulty or outright failure will get a good idea
through the tough times. |
