Lost your fire, can’t find your
passion, stuck in a rut? It’s all the same. Let me guess, the last
thing you really want to do is rummage through the self-help section
in Waterstone’s
to find another book that leaves you with a temporary feeling of
empowerment. You would rather eat the chocolate cake in Starbucks. So why
choose this self-help book? What is so special about the Naked Leader
Experience? Is this book really going to make a difference in your life that
is more than just a short-term high? |
First, answer a question you
probably never asked yourself: “What would you do if you couldn’t fail?” If
that is a question that hits home, and makes you say “Wow! I never thought
of that!” then I encourage you to read this book!
This book is based on eliminating our own inhibitions caused by a fear of
failure. David Taylor removes this word from your vocabulary and delivers
practical methods on how to take your dreams forward. It is an illuminating
book which starts with having choices and taking ownership of those choices.
Packed with straight-forward advice that allows you to reclaim your
birthright, reignite your relationships, and reinvent your organisation to
unleash its true potential. By releasing doubt from your life it helps you
choose the right path to take. “We only have choices not answers” is one of
the great one- liners that Taylor communicates resulting in a simple but
powerful message.
While the book talks about choices, the book itself practices what it
preaches by applying the old “Choose Your Own Adventure” methodology as you
conclude each section, creating a different twist to any other self-help
book; which brings an element of anticipation and surprise. This book is for
any age, background and level of experience and will restore the power
within and remind you of your unique strengths and abilities. It closes with
a meditation that brings you to a place of clarity and peace. That is just
the icing on the cake after reading a good book!
Personally, I found it empowering because there was no hype or jargon and it
reinforced attributes and beliefs which I knew already existed. It reignited
my imagination, increased my courage, and gave me back control and
responsibility for my own success. This is a book that is a tonic for your
life. A book that has all the right ingredients and business practicality
combined with a spiritual outlook to put you back on the right course with
the right framework. It allows you to imagine the possibilities if you
“simply could not fail”.
