Take1 tm film magazine, due to launched
in June 2005, is London 's new weekly film review
and listings magazine. It's the weekly film magazine
that everyone has been waiting for. The magazine gives
comprehensive coverage of all films on general release
in the UK being exhibited through London cinemas.
Take1 will be distributed in
London , through UCI
Cinemas, independent cinemas, and cool cafes & bars
throughout London 's West End . In addition for
the first few issues, Take1 will be handed to people
outside main central London tube stations.
- Free
- Take1 will be given
away free. It's the first magazine of its kind
to be given away free.
- Unique - There
is currently no other weekly magazine dedicated
entirely to films that also includes listings.
Furthermore there is no other magazine distributed
in cinemas that contains listings for all cinemas
in London.
- Independent Style - Take1's
editorial voice will be completely independent
showing no bias towards any particular film distributor.
- Quality - Unlike many listings
magazines, Take1 will be a high quality magazine
reflecting the glamour of the film industry and
thus appealing more to advertisers. In fact Take1's
quality will be higher than some of its potential
competitors (e.g. TimeOut).
- Compact
- A5 in size makes
Take1 unique and easily portable. It's a guide that
readers will want to take away with them to use as
a resource during the week.
Having
injected around £75,000 herself, Elizabeth
is still in the process of raising funds, and now
that she is signing up advertising orders, it's a
prime time to invest in the company. The project
has also been granted a £100k SFLGS loan, approved
by Barclays Bank.
