Ariadne Capital Advises on Acquisition of Gandi.net in Paris


Transaction enables Gandi to accelerate its vision

London , 28 September 2005 –

Gandi.net, the Paris based Internet domain names business was sold 1 Sept 2005 to an independent group of Internet entrepreneurs led by Stephan Ramoin, the former head of Lycos Europe Premium Services, who associated with Joe White and Eirik Pettersen, the management of a UK web services firm, and was funded by Stephens Inc., an American investor.

“Ariadne Capital did a superb job of advising us on this cross-border transaction and carried us through many unexpected ups and downs along the way,” said Joe White, the CFO of Gandi.net.

Founded by P ierre Beyssac, Laurent Chemla, Valentin Lacambre and David Nahmias , Gandi.net was valued at €Million 13.35 by this transaction.

Gandi.net will continue to broaden and expand its activities in managed Web services, which is estimated by Frost & Sullivan to grow to $4 billion in 2008 from $1 billion in 2005 in Western Europe .
