Otodio Wins Reserve Status Award at Gate2Growth
Otodio Ltd, a non-trading company working with Ariadne Capital, was awarded a Reserve Status Award at this year's E-Unlimited Gate2Growth Venture Contest.
From August this year E-Unlimited asked for early-stage companies seeking start-up funding to make online application to their Gate2 Growth Venture Contest - over 400 companies applied! In November, the committee chose from a group of 50 pre-selected applications that were to present over a two-day period to a selection of "expert coaches" from the Venture Capital and Corporate community in a Pitching Review Session.

The coaches of the Pitching Review Session decided on the best three companies and two reserve companies each day that would be Finalists and represent the best of the UK's early-stage companies. The finalists would then present their business cases to the Final Jury at the Gate2Growth Summit that will take place 13 December 2005 in Berlin.
The winners of the final jury presentation will be publicly announced during the Award Ceremony in Berlin the evening of December 13th, 2005.
Otodio gave a compelling presentation and stood out from the crowd of trading companies with their strong management team and innovative idea. They were the only non-trading company to be awarded recognition.
The three finalists were CellFire (www.cellfire.com), Alfama (www.alfamausa.com) and IPlato (www.iPlato.net).
Otodio Plc is currently building a plug-in and reference code for embedded devices for a conditioning ending that will automate the process of producing Otodio-standard files from multiple print publications. Existing publications will be converted to the Otodio standard within an hour of going to print and then sent through the appropriate delivery channel as tiny encrypted file packets. The publications will be downloaded onto any number of portable devices (including the iPod, MP3 player, mobile phone and car radio) and allow you to listen to print publications.
Otodio is currently raising capital. For more information about the company, please go to www.otodio.com or contact Amy Chiaverini: amy@ariadnecapital.com
