Momail - Mobile application of the week

by Andrew Grill on Sun 16 Mar 2008

I came across this site by accident while searching for something else. Always interested in trying out new applications, I visited www.momail.org, chose my country and operator and within 2 minutes I had a mobile email account - with push email for free!

Try it - they have made both the installation, web based interface and the whole process so easy. There is even an email aggregation feature, and a dynamic reply feature so replies come from the account they were sent to. The simplicity is your mobile number becomes your email address eg 07979123456@momail.co.uk

Couldn't be simpler. They have just received some serious funding and I predict these guys will become "the hotmail of mobile". Read more about Momail here

Can internet use ever be kept private?... Yes! Thanks to Ajaz Ahmed’s 'Browzar'

Having secretly just booked the perfect mini-break online for Easter, you walk away from the computer and in seconds, your surprise is no longer a secret... your partner jumped on to check their email, saw your browser history and sadly, your surprise is ruined!

Ajaz Ahmed, co-founder of Freeserve and friend of Ariadne Capital has developed a privacy internet browser, Browzar, which allows users to search and surf without leaving traces of their internet usage. This is particularly helpful for people accessing sensitive webmail accounts or information in internet cafés or to save users from embarrassing moments of being "caught online" through auto-complete and browsing history.
