Lionel Anthony has joined Ariadne Capital's board.
Anthony's venture capital pedigree extends back to 1976 at the Coal
Board Pension Funds' in-house venture capital facility that went on,
with Anthony's assistance, to became independent and ultimately, long
after his departure, became known as Cinven (in 1997.) In 1983 he
founded Causeway Capital, which raised nine funds and approximately
GBP500 million, before being sold to ABN AMRO in 1996.
Anthony also becomes an investor member of
Ariadne Capital,
which was formed as an alternative venture capital approach, by
ex-First Tuesday co-founder Julie Meyer. Co-founder in
Ariadne
Capital is Bundeep Singh Rangar (COO) and they were joined in
2001 by Senia Rapisarda, director.
